Flower Card created using Stamps, Ink, and Copic Markers
This was a card I made a few months ago but never shared it with you.
It was make using a Reward Stamp Set that I was able to purchase for Hosting Close to my Heart party in the 2013-2014 idea book. It’s called Enjoy the Little Things. (Sorry it is no longer available.)
The reason I want to share this project with you is to show stamping techniques and inspire you to create your own Simple Creations.
You can create your own project using a stamp set like this one where you can build your own flowers.
I want to focus on how I created these flowers.
I created the background or shadow of the flower by stamping the backside of the stamp. By using the back of the stamp it had the solid shape without the design. So I stamped the background with the color I wanted the flowers to be. Then I stamped over the solid background with the front side of the stamp, which caused the detail of the design to show up. I used several different colors and overlapped them until I had colors that showed up and I liked. Then I colored the leaves, chevrons, and a few accents with my Copic Markers. Finally I finished the card off with some washie tape and twine. This was a simple and fun card to create. Try using the back of your acrylic stamps and see what kind of different looks you can get.
